Just Another Manic Monday...

So Monday is probably my favorite day of the week...okay, hear me out. I know waking in the morning super early isn't fun and neither is having to school, but because I live in the UK US shows don't come on till past midnight and I have to be up early for school, I watch them on Monday night. So here are the shows I watch every Monday:

The Walking Dead deserves a mighty honorable mention because I loved watching it every week, their sidekick (The after show) The Talking dead was pretty decent too. Boy, can I not wait till October.

Next the replacement or the hole TWD has left in my heart:

Game Of Thrones...what a show. While the pointless sex scenes tend to irritate me. The story is just so rich and powerful it's nearly impossible to not get hooked. Word of caution...
DO NOT GET ATTACHED TO ANY CHARACTER!

Next a quite fluffy one compared to the ones above but my weekly reality TV fix comes from this unique show

If you're a WWE fan you'll either love it, hate it, or pretend you do in front of your friends ad watch it behind closed doors. I never thought I'd be interested in Reality Shows but if you do watch wwe you'll know that the divas' personalities aren't really showcased enough on TV and this show is a perfect way to show their personalities and grow a fan base. Not to mention getting to see behind the scenes of what these wrestlers get up to... it's pretty much a nosy girl's dream come true

Last but certainly not least...

Once Upon A Time! I love! love! love! this show, although it does tend to ruin every single fairy tale I've ever read...I'm looking at you Peter Pan. It's creepy and dark... yet still funny and light enough to no leave you feel empty and cold inside ( Game Of Thrones). A modernized retelling of the classic fairy tales. Perfect!

So that's it from me I hope you enjoyed this post. I'd love it if you'd tell me what your favorite shows to watch are and'or if you have any comments on my Monday TV shows. Thank you for listening and I'll see you guys on my next post! ( I probably won't see you because this is a blog but I think you get the gist ;) )

SARAH DESSEN

Sarah Dessen...The first time I ever read one of her books was when I was in second year (12-13 years old)...I was bored after finishing all my Cathy Cassidy novels. I saw book called Along for the Ride in the school library during reading period and I was hooked. I became a habit of mine to go to the nearest Waterstones after saving my lunch money and buying her books fortnightly: What Happened To Goodbye, The Truth About Forever, Just Listen, Lock & Key, This Lullaby, That Summer, Someone Like You , Last Chance until the agonizing moment I realized that I had finished all the Sarah Dessen books. I searched and searched not finding anything remotely similar to the joy I felt reading a Sarah Dessen book. There was something about the way she wrote that just captured my attention. I was so connected to the characters she wrote,  I was happy with them and I was sad with them. I gave up on finding that next author and since her new book wouldn't be out for another 2 years I knew I would have to wait a while longer. I dug myself into fantasy books, I had finally got around to reading the Harry Potter series and loved them.Tried reading Hunger Games, read Entangled by Cat Clarke, tried to read the Matched Series, aswell as reading Game Of Thrones. I drifted away form reading I was disconnected to any story I read and frankly tired of the sad endings where no clarity was found at the end of the novel as I grew accustomed to in the Sarah Dessen books. I stopped reading became hooked into my other love TV Shows and movies. Up until a couple of weeks back when I was bored and I really wanted to get back into reading I picked up What Happened To Goodbye and started reading. I fell in love with reading all over again. I always have to read alone because I'm the craziest reader EVER! I will laugh, scream, cry, throw my book across the room but I love it because I found my bliss again. As I was much older and nearly the same age as the characters now, I began to understand things more, why they acted in a certain way and best of- I can't believe it took me this long to discover...The characters were all linked! They lived round about the same area. The uptight Brain Camp Jason form The Truth About Forever was the same  Jason that was a chef in What Happened To Goodbye. Annabelle from Just Listen met Remy and Dexter from this Lullaby. Ruby from Lock&Key was listening to Annabelle on the Radio Station she was covering for Owen. I couldn't believe it! yet another reason why  she is my favorite Author. Not to mention the incredible boys she writes (I dubbed them SDBs -Sarah Dessen Boys) which often leads me to question if these boys exist and if so why can't I be around at least one of them. Wes, Dave, Nate, Norman, Dexter and probably my favorite...Owen. ( leaving out Macon because unfortunately I have met many of Macon-esque boys). Last night I was reading This Lullaby realizing  that after this I would only have Last Chance left and once again I would have finished reading all the Sarah Dessen books. In the space of a week, I had wolfed down all 8 books I owned of hers. After coming to this realization I did something I may or may not regret later... I went on Amazon . I had just bought Along For A Ride ( I never owned a copy since I read it in the Library) and her latest book The Moon and More all set to arrive on Tuesday. It's funny how if you break it down a story is just a collective of words, yet it can change your mood, alter your mindset, teach you things. God I love reading.
So that was my Sarah Dessen journey, what's yours? Who is you favorite SDB and why Or, if you have another author that makes you feel something...share it with me!
Thank you for reading this hefty rambling post I appreciate it.
See you guys on my next post.! Thanksssss xx
